Many people who suffer from depression are not even aware that they are depressed. Often they relate the extreme sadness they feel to other causes. Often people feel sad due to different occurrences and experiences they face, however, if this sadness continues for some time, it could be an early stage of and/or lead to depression. Depression tests aim to find out if the confused feelings a person is going through are actually symptoms of depression or if they are caused by something else. Many health professionals use these tests to evaluate patients and find out if they are depressed, and if so, to what degree. These tests are often in the form of a series of questions that help experts understand patients’ feelings.
